Smokin'

The very delectable haddock of Mr. Spink ready for a good hot smoking at the Foodies Festival. Had to be the culinary highlight of the day, accompanied as it was with Black Isle Porter, sat on a hay bale with a barrel for a table. Mind you the oysters were rather impressive if a little overly large for my liking. All in all a stupendous array of food, more than making up for Taste being cancelled and the Sun even made the occasional appearance. Toilet facilities were a bit more basic mind you.

Another Jaegerbomb (Jen wanted to keep the plastic bomb glasses and an over-enthusiastic tidy-upperer tidied up the first ones we were trying to keep)

Venison Fillets

Pork Mince

I cooked one of the venison fillets to try and it was very nice, despite me over cooking it (not surprising considering the 'Things Drank' list) and as we were eating that the olympic closing ceremony started on the TV. We sat somewhat agog for the following 3hrs wondering what the rest of the world was making of it.
