Magpie Jazz

This young magpie gave us jazz sessions all day today but was too high in the Blackwood tree to photograph whilst in song. He seems to be convinced that Spring is on the way, and might be trying to win a mate for himself with his glorious songs.

I snapped him when he came down to feed. You can see that he has 'attitude' as well. If he gets a mate and they nest, he will be 'divebombing' us all in a few weeks.
