Front Row

A day of attending to my list of tasks, with some success. But where did the day go?
So, later, out to see Alison Watt in conversation with Ian Rankin. Front Row seats - isn't it strange how people start filling places from the second row leaving spaces at the front for the bold? And an excellent session it was too - Ian is quite a knowledgeable dude, I've got to say. Quite like myself except I can't actually remember any of it. And she was great - enthusiastic and open and very honest and engaging. Fab.
Home to light the first ever fire in the new hearth. And watch The Fall which I'd never seen - critically acclaimed apparently. It was just like watching messy surgery. Yeeeuch.
