Ashley Bridge closed again

Woke up this morning to find that the heavy rain had closed the Ashley bridge, a nice 20 or so KM diversion to get to the 500 metres over the other side.
When i got home i took the dog for a walk along the middle of the road and met neighbors i hadn't seen for ages. (the road closure really brings the community together)

This was the first picture i took while standing on the bridge and before my lens was too wet to see any more. The bridge will be re assessed at first light tomorrow and in the meantime we have our own personal security guard at the end of the street to stop anyone coming onto our road.
