Mercat Cross

Laid low with a cold today (first I've had for at least two years, and of course I'm milking it as full-on "man flu" ;)), and my only outing was to slip out for a few minutes to take a couple of photos in the Square.

This is the Mercat Cross in Cullen: "Now sited in the Square, the Cross was originally sited in Old Cullen, moved to Castle Hill in 1820 and subsequently to its present location in 1872. It dates from 1696 and incorporates a still older carving of the Virgin and Child."
