Between the Showers

Things did not pan out as hoped on Saturday night.  Amy's back pain was not able to be addressed at the out-of-hours doctors which meant another ambulance to get her from there to A&E .... this one took longer to come :-(  Midnight arrival, assessment and eventually a bed at 445am for what was left of the night.  Meantime I actually fell asleep on the floor at around 3am while we were waiting for yet another Doctor.

No improvement on Sunday meant another night and another bed, this time on the children's ward where parent beds are the norm thankfully.  After a big sleep, Amy is not really in any less pain today so a further night in hospital seems likely.  Jacinta came and relieved me this morning and after a brief trip home for a bath (and a blip) I was at work by lunchtime.  From here I will go back for a third night in a hospital bed, listening to the beeps, whirrs and clunks .... and the endless cycle of nursery music used to settle restless tinys :-/

Crocus speciosus enjoying the brief sunshine between the showers.  It was lovely while I was home but I was not tempted to hang the washing outside - a good decision!
