CROSSING BRIDGE

Cycling with T today . . . and we went for a weather-window to cross the mighty Humber Bridge into Lincolnshire. So lucky with the weather and we discovered a new café for Riversider’s Guide to Tearooms and Cafes . . . tagged as #RGTR . . .  see below.
Extras include Humber . . .  a view underneath the bridge carriageway . . . and Pottery . . .  part of the tileworks of William Blyth with the Humber Bridge in the background. Now one of the last tile factories in Europe, the original tile works was established in 1840 and was one of 15 tile factories along the River Humber. Still manufacturing today producing handmade clay roof tiles and fittings using alluvial clay from the south bank of the River Humber.

#RGTR8 – THE TILE WORKS at Far Ings by the River Humber  . . . the home of the flower pot. Grand cake can be fully recommended.   Rating 5/7.
