Art Prize 2016

Working from a suspended grid, Robert Protz has created a sculpture of Charity, a mother Pegasus with wings spread, protecting her newborn, Hope. She is constructed of thousands of pieces of silver material, suspended on many white light reflecting lines. Hope is suspended on lines that reflect  gold rays of sunshine. Hope is translucent, consisting of two materials that present an idea but not one clearly defined. The piece is entitled “Birth of a Dream”.
