goodbye

brilliant day at hayling island. spent in the company of ali and the girls, marina and tara, trace and pip, paul shaz and keiran...the sun shone, we ate fish and chips and went on all the rides all afternoon and evening ... got home and watched the closing ceremony for the olympics..OMG ..feels like a relative has passed away..so sad that we have to say goodbye to what has been a truly brilliant two weeks of sport and for me also ..having all the olympics off to watch and enjoy but to be with my girls.. this is without doubt been the best period of time ive had for years... but still saying goodbye is something that im not good at .. goodbye to the olympics, back to normal life, but also i remember the goodbyes that i still havnt come to terms with..goodbye to my friend terrie who died a couple of years ago , goodbye to my mother. and goodbye to a friendship lost to circumstance, in their wake has arisen something new , but still i remain nervous in the new world i find myself in and hanker for things familiar although ultimately i know i have to say that final goodbye and move on.
