Having an afternoon rest

Unfortunately CJ did a little too much yesterday, and his toes hurt during the night, meaning he didn't sleep very well. So we decided on a slow day.

We started off by heading to the supermarket, followed by a quick trip to the hardware store, which took a little longer than planned as we stopped for a fluffy and to buy some flowers for the garden.

We then had a lovely visit from I&S&E&M. The kids had a great time playing together, especially with CJ's Get Well surprise!

After lunch, CJ supervised S2 mowing the lawns, planting the apple trees and spreading new grass seed. He desperately wanted to help, but knew he had to stay inside - so would give encouragement from the window.

By late afternoon, and after a slightly busier day than planned, CJ decided that he wanted a rest, so he got his pillow and duvet (to make himself a bed) and started reading some stories to LJ. A perfect way to end the day!
