"Ronde à vélo"
Sunday
The sun returned today, but it was a chilly start, and quite cold in church. Since we meet in the chapel of a Catholic school, however, we have no control over when they put the heat on! As we were driving to and from church in Fontainebleau, we saw the signs for the Ronde à velo event taking place that day. The Route Ronde is a circular road through the Forest, going perhaps about half way around the town of Fontainebleau. For this event, they close a section of it to traffic, and using some of the Forestry roads as well, which are usually barricaded off to traffic, form a circuit for people, including families to go cycling in the forest. We were at the tail end of the event, it having started at 10.30 am, but as you can see from my blip, there were still quite a few cyclists out enjoying the sunshine!
