inchcolm island

took a boat trip under the forth rail bridge about four miles down to tiny inchcolm island where there's an old abbey. it was lovely - you could see edinburgh in the distance and it made you wonder what it would have been like to live there...especially in the freezing winter. sailing underneath the bridge was pretty cool too.

then we went out late to the tattoo at night - despite having lived in edinburgh for three years, I had never been and it was ace! I mean, I wouldn't want to see it again really, but it was pretty impressive and the location next to edinburgh castle is stunning.
