A lovely morning and poor TT had to head to work. Once I had hung out so much washing that I ran out of clothes pegs, I was on football duty with BB. I dropped him and headed off for a walk through Winton Woods and by the River Tyne at Pencaitland. It was lovely in the sunshine, but by the time I got back to the football, the sun had disappeared and it was a wee bit chilly standing watching the last of the game. After football, the boys headed to the playpark, and we eventually managed to drag them away and head home.
Mid-afternoon, BB and I headed into Edinburgh to meet up with TT. As we emerged out of the back of the station, I spied an exhibition in the City Art Centre and dragged BB around it. He wasn’t very interested, but I enjoyed the snippet of culture. We then went off in search of TT. We found him and ended up in the bookshop, where BB and I both got a book. Poor TT couldn’t find anything that he fancied.
Next we were off to meet with friends for an early evening curry in a restaurant we hadn’t visited before. We all really enjoyed our food, so we will definitely go back. BB and I then headed back to the station and home, dropping TT and our friends off as they were going to a concert. A lovely day all round.
Here is a statue that sits above a doorway in Pencaitland. I believe the building was originally the school and schoolhouse.
