Heading home

After I packed up this morning I went back to Omarama (only 10 km up the road) for another cuppa with my friend there before heading home.

I decided to come home through Mackenzie Country instead of down through Kurow.  The distance isn't much further and it's nice to have completed the loop over the weekend.  

I took the usual photos of Mt Cook/Aoraki shrouded in cloud and Lakes Pukaki and Tekapo looking beautiful, but decided I'd blip something different today.  

I have cropped this photo just because I prefer the look of it this way (and it crops out the bridge barrier) but I haven't touched the colour.  The silica in the waters here certainly create a fantastic turquoise colour.
