Red eared terrapin
Now what would you call a female red eared terrapin?
I bet you didn't say Clara!! Why Clara I asked my neighbour who brought her over for a visit. Clara is from Dr Who and she disappears apparently. This Clara likes no better than to tear off and bury her head somewhere. Today she headed for the flax bush, the daffodil foliage and then the leaf mulch under the maple tree.
Surprisingly difficult to get as they move faster than expected or when in the hand as this one is, they wave their legs. So Clara's nose and eyes blend in with her leg. It does give a indication of size with Donna's finger there. They nip too and can leave a dent.
Lovely stripes under her legs and shell.
The neighbour is vegetarian which is a bit of a problem as Clara likes lean meat.
An extra to show her striding out.
