Homeward bound

Another busy day. Spent the morning watching the marathon, drumming into no1 son that this is an Olympic event so he can always say he saw something (even if it didn't require a ticket). It was a fantastic atmosphere and we were lucky to be near a really friendly gang of people. We got a good view of the runners as they passed us 4 times.

Then a big lunch, a play, a trip to the fairground and a dash across to Euston station to catch our train. No1 son has needed quite a lot of questioning to express how he's felt about this trip but as we stepped off the train he said "yay, we're back in Preston!" I don't think I'll ever get fully understand how his brain works!
