A thorn between two roses

Today our good friends Cathy & Gary came to dinner. They have been in Wales this weekend to watch their team Worcester Warriors beat the Cardiff Blues, so on the way home they popped in.

As the weather was so nice we sat outside for a coffee and a good old natter, even Cecil came out to say hello.

After a slap up (chucked together) roast dinner and a teeny weeny (haha) slice of cheese cake we went for a walk along the Sirhowy Valley. We had a lovely walk trying to spot the local wildlife, hoping to spot the unusual. But we just ended up seeing a jay and some wrens.

After a fab walk, it was back to the ranch for a coffee and just the one Welsh cake (whoops my nose just grew a few inches, why is it only ever my nose :-( ) Then it was time for them to go back to home. Its always sad to see them go as they are such lovely people.
