Squabble

The Canada Geese at Croxall Lakes were having a bit of a squabble this morning.

I hadn't been over to this lovely nature reserve for absolutely ages and I'd forgotten how peaceful it is. It's across the River Tame from the National Memorial Arboretum and you can see the glint of the golden point of the central memorial (the one you see on Remembrance Day). There's usually a heron just below and he was there today, but it was not clear enough for a sharp photo of him.

I was also quite pleased. I've been struggling with my mobility in recent weeks and I managed the walk to the first bird hide without any adverse reaction.
