Orchids

One of our favourite places to eat in Chiang  Mai is an Italian Restaurant.  Apart from the fact that the food is very good, we have also become good friends with the Manager and his two waitresses.  The tables have a mixture of dried flower arrangements or orchids.  Tonight we had orchids and as it is FlowerFriday I decided to show you.

Today I had to get my leaking kitchen tap fixed.  It took three attempts and two maintenance guys to fix it.  The language difficulties meant that a lot of  hand signals were used.  Hubby was at the bank so I had to do the explaining.  When hubby came home our car had been pelted with some sort of sticky fruits that had fallen off a tree so we went to the car wash.  Whilst there, there was a very loud clap of thunder, a young girl, who runs a cold drink and popcorn stand got quite scared and left her kiosk to come and hide in the car wash.  Although the sky went very dark and there was a few bangs,  we did not in fact get a storm, just a few spots of rain.
