Crab apple bending
Both crab apples in my garden are laden with fruit this year, which is interesting as I seem to remember the blossom going over quicker than most years. This one has branches arched over with the weight of fruit. Apparently crab apples have long been associated with love and marriage. It was said that if you throw the pips into the fire while saying the name of your love, the love is true if the pips explode. Well, we've not started having fires yet so this tricky little test (for a married man!) will just have to wait.
