Rose bud

Still getting a few roses and this was a very pretty one, full of hope.
The extra is of a few grackles. There was a huge flock of them among the cattle and they repeatedly settled on the grass, very briefly, and then flew up and down again to the ground. The cattle took no notice, but this was clearly part of the birds'  preparation for migration. They will be replaced by starlings.
