An unusual portrait

It's not often that we see Drummond smiling, but he's a new man since he got his second replacement knee two weeks ago. Although he can only stand for short periods at the moment, he's back painting every day and that makes him happy.

I popped in to see him on my way into Milngavie where I killed three birds with the one stone: handed in another two boxes of unwanted items to the charity shop, deposited a cheque from Uncle Ernie at the bank - the only time I miss not having a bank in the village - and bought lunch for tomorrow from M&S. It's my turn to have The Girls.

Re yesterday's 'incident', I was advised by a friend with a dog-walking business to report the matter to the police, which I did, but they said that since nobody was injured it wasn't a police matter. I was surprised by that, because it could  have turned nasty in a split-second, and next time it could be a child the dogs terrorise. A word of warning from the polis might have made the woman reduce the number of dogs she walks at any one time.
