Scotland's best

Well, acutally, probably the best that any country with our landscape and climate can offer.

A day of high blue skies, sun, cool breeze and, as compensation for the almost unrelentingly wet summer to day, a richly, deeply green landscape to walk through.

Younger lad was persuaded to come with me to walk from Traquair to Yair Bridge, one of the sections I couldn't do with my walking friends last autumn.

A beautiful, beautiful day.
