Stripes

Matthew was at a football tournament in St. Andrews today.
His team was a collection of kids who don't normally play in the same team, and for most of them it's the first time they've played football since the end of last season. As a result, they found themselves on the bad end of a few drubbings. Some of the teams were really very good, and I suspect were better prepared. Poor lad had to play three games at left-back - a position he hates. They won one game out of five, and Matthew scored one pretty good goal, but on balance I don't think it was the most enjoyable experience.
