Flowering Yucca Plants

I took this today at Ocean Isle Beach, NC about 15 minutes from our house.  The Yucca and other plants grow on the dunes before one reaches the flat beach and the ocean.  The fishing pier is the only one on Ocean Isle, and I wonder if it will be there after we visit with Hurricane Matthew over the weekend.  The ocean-front homes have this dunes/plants buffer between them and the surf.  Ocean Isle, like Sunset Beach, runs east to west rather than north to south.
