Wild Wednesday - Emperor Dragonfly

Beautiful autumnal day a bit cooler but still sunny.

I poppe down the track, the first time in a while and saw at least four dragonflies and quite a few butterflies. I love this time of year when the sun is low and still warm in sheltered spots enabling the insects to enjoy the heat for a little while.

This beauty was flying around and then stopped for a while on a twig so I could get a few shots. Perfect for Wild Wednesday thanks Caileach for hosting.
