Sometimes everything happens at the same time. The electricians came in at eight o'clock to install lights and wall terminals in the new rooms. At nine a Telcom guy arrived to connect our ADSL line and a little later another crew showed up to change our faulty garage door motor. 
In the afternoon I could finally connect the hob that had been waiting for electricity since March. Things are looking up.
