I just love it when we actually manage to sit down and eat all together. It's difficult midweek but today we managed the feat and Eve was the happiest I've seen her in ages..... news and stories and songs and joy poured forth. Easily the best bit of my day. I now know the surnames of various children I've never clapped eyes on as well as details of the best school dinners/desserts and, best of all, a list of girls who chew their hair and are risking "sicking up a hair ball like a cat". My life feels genuinely richer for this information. Oh to be 4.
