Blown Inside Out!

I decided on a trip up to the moor and although the weather didn't look too promising the forecast did seem to offer the possibility of some brightness. 

I drove up to Merrivale and walked the short distance to Windy Post. The wind was strong enough to make my eyes water and any ideas of long exposures were soon set aside. I took shots from a variety of angles but didn't stay too long with the conditions as they were.

I was surprised how good the light was in a couple of todays shots. I think the extra gives a good impression of how strong the wind was and there are some more here if you'd like to see them.

I suppose that must be the reason why the old cross was named 'Windy Post'.
