Title Deed a la Spain

It's not our title but that of a house across the way. Clause ten may contain the silver bullet that lets us convince the local authority that our wee street has always been private and we can gate it at each end. It says that the passage way must be closed and signs put up saying 'Private Passageway'. That was written in 1925 and we have had a chain across the end of the street all that time, with said signs in place and have never been challenged by the local authority to open it up and have paid the resurfacing of the street at least three times in that time but still the planning people wanted proof! Well, here it is!
