Good practice?

I have two cats, Dex and Splot! This one is Dex. I'm thinking that having the cats may prove to be excellent practice for when the baby becomes a toddler (and beyond) Dex's latest trick is to plonk himself down in the middle of any pile of clean Laundry then glare defiantly at me waiting for my reaction, which he then ignores completely :-)
The other one follows me round the house constantly crying for snacks and attention. So, I think I'm well in practise. The only problem is, I don't think I'm allowed to leave the baby to sleep in the shed for a while if he gets too annoying........ Am I??
