Terrace snacks

A welcome sight at the end of a stressful day, and the start of the Spanish leg of our holiday.

This morning was a rush of tidying, packing and cleaning, before dropping off the keys for the cottage. And a last minute stop in to see an old friend who had some rather upsetting news. Then over to Fife for painting, repacking and weeding and back into Edinburgh for a slightly tense in laws visit (ten minutes late and they presumed we'd crashed).

Edinburgh airport was refreshingly queue-free and all was looking good on the plane, with lots of sleepy looking folk around us. Then loud-shouty-last-to-get-on-family arrived and sat behind us, so for 2 hours and 40 minutes we had a cycle of screeching, fighting and chair kicking that meant no sleep for anyone within three rows.

But the car hire was surprisingly efficient and we remembered our way, and here we are: ready for six days of lazing about.
