Rydal Water

Another lovely sunny day today so we decided to visit Rydal Water. Walked around the lake side and took photos of the famous boat house before walking up Loughrigg Fell to Rydal Caves.  There were some lovely rich colours in the rocks inside the cavern which were reflected in the pool of water. 

This shot was taken up by Rydal Caves looking down towards the west end of Rydal Water.

Spent a good few hours here before heading up to The Old School Room Tea Shop at Rydal Hall for cake and hot chocolate! 

We returned to Middle Ruddings Country Inn for dinner this evening, followed by a fun quiz kindly organised by Trevor and Gill.
