Cocklakes.
Having run out of food for the bird feeders we popped out to the Bird's Bistro in Penruddock. IT is a sort of birds supermarket every type of food you could imagine ,feeders, nest boxes etc and now Hedgehog food, Squirrel food and insect hibernation/nest boxes.
We are starting to develop the habit of continuing along the A66 to the farm shop at Cocklakes. As well as the farm shop there is a cafe (why do you think we were going there?) and this fishing lake.
There were no fishermen today but the scene particularly with the tree caught my eye. To describe the tree as "stag headed" would be an understatement in fact until today I had assumed that it was dead. If you look carefully you can see there are now shoots on it.
