The Final Golden Day

Good morning from a sun kissed East London on the final day of the London 2012 Olympics.

The last 2 weeks has redefined us as a country. From the brilliant opening ceremony, the overall lovely weather, some stunning athletic events, and of course the TeamGB performance that exceeded even the most optimistic expectations.

London 2012 has, in my view, given London two of the most remarkable weeks in a great city's rich history. I will be a little sad when the Olympics ends and may just feel a sense of loss for a while. It really has been a wonderful place to call home these last two weeks!
