Landing gear down

Yesterday I was out at the estuary watching the bar-tailed godwits, but there was so much sea fog that I couldn't get a decent photo of them.  So this morning I went back.

I got myself set up and was just focussing when the whole lot of them upped and flew off!  So all I can produce is their backs and feet.
