A beautiful Kereru

This beautiful Native woodpigeon,(kereru), has been in care for about 4 weeks. One of our vets has had it at home while it heals a broken shoulder bone. It is nearly fully recuperated, but now needs to fly. So it is in a large aviary. It is lovely and gentle to deal to- loves all sorts of fruit.
