Tea time!

Di is away and my day started with a cup of tea. I dunked a biscuit and as I raised it to my lips, the soggy mess landed on the floor. Not to be deterred, I decided on a piece of raisin toast. I went to fetch my iPad from the office and on the way back to the kitchen I checked FB, emails and the weather. What I didn't check was the setting on the toaster which had popped up a slice of raisin flavoured carbon. As it was a sunny day, I decided to go for a walk to the other side of town. along the way I managed to be attacked by two magpies protecting their nests. What does this have to do with todays blip? The second attack was only fifty feet from where the shot was taken.

The blip is of the "Weidmann Cottage" built originally around the 1840's. The building is a typical merchants residence with a ground floor shop and a cellar. The building takes its name from Albert Weidmann who operated a butchers shop on the northern side. It remained the property of the Weidmann family from 1891 - 1977.

I had decided on the setting sun for todays shots, but not the direct setting sun. As I was walking into town I noticed the reflection of the setting sun through the entrance of Eaton's Hotel. Built in 1857, with an inn operating in the same location since 1839 where the original Licensee was Mrs Ann Ward. The entrance would have been designed specifically for horse drawn coaches. Hope you all have a warm and eventful day!
