Beach day

With the promise if a sunny day we headed for the beach at Sampieri to have a relaxation day. It was warm enough for some sea bathing and we had some waves to make it fun. It was lovely to feel the heat and read our books in the sun.

After enjoying our day there, it struck me later why I'd heard of the beach - I had thought maybe someone had recommended it - but no. It was the beach where at least a dozen migrants drowned just metres from the shore 3 years ago.
