The Gates of the Morning.

We were out quite early and boy, was it chilly! I even had to scrape the car!
Although we were heading off to visit MaggieD's Mum, we stopped off at the canal for a stroll. The mist was hanging somewhat thicker than the photo shows and we were surprised by several wild mallards, or maybe we surprised them.
After a spot of gardening this afternoon, Ali, Euan & Eve dropped in for a quick visit and to deliver special hand-made birthday cards. Thank you very much, Euan & Eve. Always good to see them.
Earlier this evening we slipped up to South Alloa hoping for a decent sunset. It was nice but not outstanding.
