We hold a day of teachings the first day Saturday almost every month. Yesterday we taught on reasons to meditate. Traditionally, these are know as 'the four thoughts that turn the mind to practice' (Tib: lo dog nam zhi), namely; Rarity of being truly human, impermanence and death, karma (as perception and response), unsatisfactory cyclic existence. It was an enjoyable day.
