River of gold

After a day of housework and domesticity, this evening was an escape to a friend's party, in a Thames-side flat. Within the space of less than an hour we had every kind of weather, from bright sunshine, through thunder, lightning and rainbows to dark cloud and heavy rain. This view from the flat kept changing by the minute, but this was my favourite moment, when the river turned to molten gold.
