Gleaming

Beautiful autumn day, but needed to get stuff done before leaving. Thus is the newly-restored Forsyth Sphere atop one of the stores on Princes Street.

Took the train to Manchester where I was touched to see a lone Colchester fan returning from their 2-0 defeat at Carlisle. The atmosphere got more lively when I was joined by some (middle-aged women) Preston fans after their 2-0 win over Aston Villa. The three Villa fans across commiserated with the Colchester fan, offering him a beer. Let's hope my trip is rewarded by a good win over Stoke at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Had a fine vegetarian Indian meal in Stockport this evening.
