Stooks at Nort Dale

What a fantastic day of sunshine and fairly calm too :)  It was a bit nippy when a cloud passed over.

Up early and headed to Baltasound after breakfast.  Popped back along Julie after, before heading to Skaw beach with the metal detector, no joy in treasure today.  After lunch, more walkies with Sammy and then up to the old Saxavord RAF base for a look about.  I fell asleep after tea, but up and about now and in seeing the lasses before their bedtime.

Me and Sammy enjoyed a walk in the sunshine about Haroldswick.  We headed down the road and towards Saxavord, and this stooks of corn caught my eye.  It's a fairly rare sight about the Isles now, but still a few places do it.  This is taken at Nort Dale, Haroldswick, Unst, and the house on the left is where friend Nik used to live.
