Holding

This morning we headed out on an expensive bus to good old Pirate Petes for one of Girls friends birthday parties. As usual with Petes it was lots of fun. Pirates Petes is classically Pompey. It is probably one of the original soft play areas in the theme of a pirate ship. When you look at it you it is not quite as slick as other soft play places but it makes up for it in character.

Boy insisted that he and I played in the ball pit. He enjoyed being whizzed about on a big foam block on the balls. I did not enjoy finding an old sock in amoung the balls quite as much.

After the food and cake it was time to leave so we headed over to and sat on the common for a bit where the little ones took themselves away from us boring parents and played happily together until it was time to move on. It is nice to see them being a bit self sufficient and entertaining each other.

We walked home and soaked up the sun. As is usual at the moment Boy refused to go in the buggy and walk and so spent all his travels being carried by me. Recently I have not been taking as many photos and have put this down to dip in motivation, though today it occurred to me that it is also because I rarely have a spare hand to take any these days due to Boy sitting in them. I managed to put him down for a second to take this rubbish just before we got home.
