SUNDERLAND
Completely over-faffed late afternoon photo taken up the coast towards Sunderland - 20 miles away by road, but probably a bit less as the gull flies.
We were there this morning because B bravely overcame a lifetime's needle phobia and white-coat-syndrome to have an injection into his eye at the Eye Infirmary in the hope that it will slow down the progress of his AMD. I have no qualms about people sticking needles into me, but I'd still be apprehensive about that, so it was a huge thing for him to achieve.
Slightly to the left of centre of the photo - in the middle of the thumbnail - is Seaham lighthouse, which blipper Jac can see from her bedroom window, and somewhere in Sunderland is blipper Phoeb, so I waved to both of them. Didn't get a wave back though. :-(
