Over Yonder

Bluster

My Dear Fellow,

A blustery day today. The wind whipped around the outside of my office building, which stands against the elements like a tin shack on a clifftop. The wind produces an odd whistling effect through the roof of the building and when you are outside it sounds like a choir of distressed Clangers.

I had a reasonable day today. People were nice to me because I did something vaguely technical. People do not expect this sort of thing from analysts. It is like they have found a dog who can do the dishes and lavish me with praise. I don't let it go to my head. Just because most dogs - and analysts - know only enough not to pee on the floor does not make writing a batch design an achievement.

On a sad note, one of the helpful people in the office is leaving tomorrow. She was very nice to me, despite having no time at all as she was busy helpfulling everyone else as well. I hope she has a nice break from work and a bright future somewhere lovely.
