The Pearly Silvery Flow

This is taken from the bedroom window, late morning.  The wind had almost flattened the sea.  There were frothy bits blowing up from the cliff and into the garden.  I went out and washed the salt fae the windows.  No seaweed was encountered.  Since this was taken Flotta has disappeared.

For tonight’s tea I made CMC a bed of crispy bubble and squeak (with some nutmeg through it) topped with haddock, topped with bits of crispy bacon and black pudding.  I completed it with a Dijon mustard sauce.  When she’d finished she asked me where I’d found the recipe.  I told her which cookbook it was and she immediately ripped the page out of the book and put it in the stove.

I blame that Philip Harben; I was at an impressionable age.  If only Sabrina could have cooked.
