Heart-leaved Ox Eye

Today's the day .......................... for a newcomer

This is a new plant in our garden which is only now showing off its beautiful flowers.

It's a heart-leaved ox eye - or Telekia speciosa  if you want to give it its proper scientific name - and it's just the sort of plant you need to cheer you up on these dull, wet days that we have been having recently.

I hope it isn't put off by the miserable weather that it has arrived into - and it decides to stick around for many years to come .............................
