But the phases of the Moon still come and go
A strange day of niggles and some good outcomes too.
I have realised that my normal email account for work is prone to delays on sending and some addresses ending in btinternet will not in any circumstance receive emails associated with my hosting company's domain name. It can be circumvented but it is a bit messy trying to follow a thread of correspondence across more than one email account. I am told they have raised a ticket.
What else? Our PC reserved for accounts and book keeping would not boot up on return from our long weekend at St Andrews. The problem is not without precedent and normally occurs when the machine has been off for a few days but previously I have always managed to fix it. This time was different and I had made arrangement to take it to a man in the village who specialises in this sort of thing.
Useful tip; if this happens to you, try switching it on with absolutely nothing plugged in. Just before lifting it into the car I tried this and it started up fine. On reconnecting the peripherals I think I have deduced a fault in the keyboard was preventing start up. I have several old keyboards about so that's it fixed. I had to sheepishly phone the man back saying it was okay again.
Then I did some work at the desk. Its dark now and I haven't had any fresh air.
I can't pretend all of this image was taken today, just a small underlying component which offers today's date in the EXIF data. I have done a calender for my work over the last couple of years and I was thinking on doing something a bit dreamy for the cover this time. It is of course inspired by others on blip and maybe the surreal work of artist John Byrne.
On the subject of proper art Mrs SJR received a really beautiful gift in the post today. I am sure she will have shared it on blip. I was actually overwhelmed by the kindness and talent of the sender.
Apologies for cryptic title. It is amazing how many times Gerry Rafferty mentions the moon in his songs
